Dean is Co-Director of the Uplift Centre in Melbourne, and a non-executive Director of Reventure and several other Boards.

He offers mentoring and positive psychology services aimed at uplifting wellbeing and effectiveness, and encouraging a deepening spirituality.  He supports leaders with an experienced listening ear, deeper questions and encouragement, coupled with warmth and battle-hardened wisdom.

Dean’s experience includes working for Westpac, Epworth Healthcare and 15 years as Executive Director of a national HR / org psych business that he founded. In late 2009 Dean was invited to move to Brisbane to take up a new role as the combined head of Churches of Christ in Queensland which consisted of 70 churches, and CEO of Churches of Christ Care, which provides aged care, child, youth and family support, and social housing. Dean led the organisation until 2017 when he stepped down due to ill health (Leukaemia). Over this eight-year period CofCQ multiplied to 400 Kingdom Access Places, an annual revenue of $260 Million, 5000 employees and registered volunteers, and won numerous industry awards.

Following successful treatment Dean, and his wife Janette, also a psychologist, moved back to Melbourne in 2019 to offer services as the Uplift Centre, and to be closer to their family.

Dean is a member of the Australian Christian Mentoring Network and the Australian Psychological Society.
