GEORGE SAVVIDES
BOARD CHAIRMAN, SBS
George Savvides has clocked up a 30 year career in the healthcare sector, including three CEO roles at Smith & Nephew, Sigma Pharmaceuticals, and Medibank Private.
He listed two of these companies (Sigma & Medibank) onto the ASX. His 14 years at Medibank saw the second largest IPO in Australian history when the health fund joined the ASX Top 50.
George has an Industrial Engineering degree from UNSW, and an MBA from UTS. He is a Fellow of the Aust Institute of Co Directors.
Recently retired Chairman of World Vision Australia. Served WV over 18 years. He is a former Chairman of Macquarie University Hospital.
